Project Description
A contract between 3T+NACO and MSCE (N3T/COT/02- 11/7/2016) was signed to perform the study of “IKAC Sustainability Assessment” contemporary with the development of master plan for the subject site. In this regard, and according to the regulations of Iran’s Department of Environment, part of this contract attributes to EIA study and report preparation.
Imam Khomeini Airport City (RA) with an area of 14.5 hectares is located in the southwest of Tehran. Access routes to Imam Khomeini International Airport (RA) include Tehran-Qom highway from the east and Tehran-Saveh highway from the west. Within 15 kilometers of the airport city and in its northern parts Rabat Karim, Islamshahr and Shahryar cities, in the west Parand new city and Parand industrial town and power plant, in the east Hassan Abad city and Shams Abad industrial town and several settlements. are located The southern border of the airport city includes the Salt River and has no settlements. This river, which is considered to be the only source of natural surface water around the airport, is currently polluted with sewage from nearby towns and industrial towns.
