Development of an integrated hydrological-hydraulic model and evaluation of the current network performance
Project Description
Since the beginning of the 40s until now, the stormwater collection system of Tehran has been investigated in the form of four comprehensive plans, and based on countless study and implementation projects during the past 50 years, it has been fully implemented with an acceptable percentage. However, the proper performance expected from this huge and extensive system has not been fully realized due to various reasons, including the non-implementation of the wastewater network, the non-completion of the urban stormwater sub-network, the hydraulic problems of the current network and the existing damages.
In these studies, by conducting conceptual studies of the main network in three areas of Tehran city (where the central catchment area is on the agenda of this consultant), the hydrological performance of the existing main network and its adequacy in passing the urban stormwater with the corresponding return period were controlled. Also, the hydraulic performance and the structural performance of the said network were also investigated.
